How to help
Come and love with us.
There are many ways to stand with the choir right now. Some cost nothing. Every one of them matters.
We are in the first days of building our independent future. What follows is an honest list of what we need, and how you can help. We've grouped it into four ways to stand with us: spreading our voice, booking the choir, giving us a hand financially, and offering your skills.
Spread our voice

Recognise our faces in posts or films, past and present?
If you come across us on social media — in a video, a still, a film clip, anywhere our music or our faces appear — please tag us. Tag us at @lizwichoir on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and X. Every tag closes the gap between the audience who already knows us and the name we now sing under. It is the single most powerful thing anyone outside the choir can do for us right now, and it costs nothing.

Share our story
If this story has moved you, send our site to one person who would love it. Send them our news page, our public statement, or our Freedom Day concert recording. The choir's strength has always been community, and it still is.

Hire the choir for your event
We are a choir for hire. We would love to perform for you. If you run an event, a festival, a corporate gathering, a wedding, or a community celebration, booking us is direct financial support, and the practical way we rebuild a sustainable livelihood for the singers. We manage ourselves — no managers, no management fees.
Donate
Available now · South African donors
Donate via direct EFT
The simplest way to support us financially right now is a direct EFT to our First National Bank business account, held in the name of Lizwi Choir NPC. Every rand is accounted for to the group.
For our banking details, please email hello@lizwichoir.com and we will reply the same day. We don't publish account numbers on the website — it protects donors from impersonation. We ask for your email because it lets us thank you personally, keep you updated, and include you in the community we are building.
Coming very soon · international donors
Based outside South Africa?
We know that many of our supporters are watching from the UK, Europe, the US, Australia and beyond, and that direct EFT to a South African bank account isn't practical for you. We are setting up international online giving — card and crowdfunding — in the coming days.
Leave us your email below and we'll write to you the moment it's live, with a personal thank-you for your patience.

Tax-deductible giving for South African donors
We are Lizwi Choir NPC, a registered Not for Profit Company under the South African Companies Act (Reg no 2026/361808/08, registered 11 May 2026). Our next step is applying for Public Benefit Organisation (PBO) status with SARS. Once granted, South African donors will be able to give tax-deductibly under Section 18A. We will move this page to GivenGain at that point — the platform purpose-built for South African charities. You can read our full registration details on our legal page.
Offer your skills

Pro bono or low-bono support
We are actively looking for pro bono or low-bono support in:
- Legal counsel — intellectual property, contract review, ongoing compliance support
- Governance and nonprofit administration — helping us set up a sound constitution and board
- Creative industry — music publishing, royalties, artist management
- Communications and media strategy
If any of that describes you, please write to hello@lizwichoir.com.
Stay in touch
For everyone
Sign up to our newsletter
If you would like to stay close to us, email is the most reliable way. It doesn't depend on algorithms or feeds, and our subscribers hear from us first when there are concerts, recordings, or invitations to share. We send rarely, every email has an unsubscribe link, and we promise you won't need it.
A note on transparency
We are a choir rebuilding itself in real time, in public, with no external management. Everything we receive — every EFT, every booking fee, every act of kindness — is accounted for to the group. As Lizwi Choir NPC (Reg no 2026/361808/08), we will publish our first formal annual financial report after our financial year ends in February 2027, as required by South African law and because it is the right thing to do.
