Banking and donations
Our finances are held in a dedicated business account with First National Bank, in the name of Lizwi Choir NPC. For banking details for donations or bookings, please write to hello@lizwichoir.com and we will reply the same day.
We do not publish our bank account number on this website. This is standard practice to protect donors from impersonation and fraudulent fundraising appeals.
Governance
Lizwi Choir NPC is governed by its founding members. Directors and the Memorandum of Incorporation are filed with CIPC and form part of the public record.
Our first formal annual financial report will be published after the close of our first financial year (28 February 2027), as required by South African law. In the meantime, every transaction is accounted for to the group.
Public Benefit Organisation (PBO) status
We are in the process of applying for Public Benefit Organisation status with the South African Revenue Service (SARS) under Section 18A of the Income Tax Act. Once granted, South African donors will be able to claim tax deductions on qualifying donations. We will announce this on our news page when it is in place.
